Monitor your Mac's fan speed and CPU/GPU temperature from your Notification Center.
I think the sensor values didn't male sense, also the temperatur seems to be,....to hot.
Hi Thanks for the app. My MacBook Air 2013 is telling me that the GPU is 0 degrees celsius. Temperature at home is 24 degrees and cpu is 53. Looks like or there is no temperature sensor, or some other situation. Thanks
CPU Temperature reads 0.
Possible base for new feature for displaying the current CPU temperature rather than a static icon in the menubar (addressing feature request #42).
- Option to display icon or temperature
- (Option to choose CPU or GPU temperature)
Tested on macOS 10.14.6.
(Let me know if I should have done this differently than opening a pull request, I am not familiar with how to contribute)feature request
Appears in top bar, cannot click it (no response) - there is an icon though.
In notification bar:
Is there an older version to test? ( i tried the download link in #11, but that gave a 404)
The application does not show information about CPU temperature or fan speeds on a Late '08 Macbook (Macbook 5.1 A1278)
At startup it shows the following: which after a few seconds changes into
I've currently only gotten the menubar app to work, but hopefully I'll get the widget working as well in a few days. Also, there are still some bugs that need to get fixed (for examples, look at the screenshot below). @DanielStormApps It would be great if you could help me out with this, as I have no experience in Obj-C and its APIs.
This fixes #25.
Note that I don't really know Objective-C, and so if you have any suggestions as to how the PR could be improved, please let me know.
Fanny v1.0.3 worked great on my old Mac Mini 2012, but does not work on my new 2018 Mac Mini (OSX 10.14.1 Mohave).
Would this be possible as an option?
It does not work on new 16 inch MacBook Pro.
sometime it do not work
Thus temperature is not shown on M1. Needs find other ways to get the temperature.
Are the fans really always!! on on my Macbook 15 2019?
Just booted up (cold chassi) cannot hear any fan, 0% CPU, yet fans on!?
Cannot see the widget of this app in notification centre in MacOS 11.3 (Big SUR)
imac 11.3.1. How do I delete it from widgets folder?
I can't see the temperature of my CPU. I have a Macbook Air 13' with M1.
I just found out about Fanny. Great piece of software! Congrats!!
I am currently running Fanny on my hackintosh running Catalina. (Let me know if HW specs are relevant here). CPU and all 6 fans show up in Fanny. Sweet :) Unfortunately it seems like my GPU is not detected in Fanny. No iGPU, no dGPU, nothing.
Is there anything I could do to change that?
Thank you very much in advance for your help. Best, -a-
As per title, just three dashes show next to the temperature readouts "---"
The widget is not working on my M1 Macbook Air. The icon shows in menu bar but the widget is showing up. Screenshot is attached.
Would it be possible to have an option to use a monospace font—perhaps SF Mono?
When displaying the temperature in the toolbar, different temperatures can cause the width of the toolbar to fluctuate. The knock on effect of this causes any icons to the left to shift as the width changes.
